Sweet potatoes contain vitamin A and this vitamin makes you produce less oil, and thus have nice non-greasy skin. Whereas ginger is a food that promotes gut health. Why not combine both into this delicious dessert?
SWEET POTATO GINGER SOUP RECIPE
Ingredients: (for 1-2servings)
1 sweet potato (preferably from indonesia or malaysia as they are usually softer)
1 knob of ginger
50g of brown sugar (till taste)
1-2 stalks of pandan leaves
Preparation:
Cut sweet potato in cubes
Peel ginger and sliced it.
Wash the pandan leaves.
Cooking:
Add sweet potato and ginger slices into boiling water.
After 15mins (the sweet potatoes should be soft), add pandan leaves and boil for another 10mins under Med heat.
Add brown sugar to taste.
